A new Learn to Skate session is almost here, and registration is open now. This session brings classes back to Tuesday and Saturday, giving skaters two convenient options to get on the ice, build confidence, and keep improving week by week.

Tuesday classes begin September 15 at 6:15 p.m. Saturday classes begin September 19 at 10:45 a.m. Spots can fill quickly, so early registration is the best way to save money and secure the class time that works best.

Class days and start times are back to Tuesday and Saturday

This session returns to a familiar schedule with classes offered on both weekdays and weekends.

Tuesday evening classes are a good fit for families looking for an after-school or after-work activity. Saturday morning classes are ideal for skaters who prefer a weekend routine.

Both options give skaters a structured setting to learn basic skills, practice balance, and get more comfortable moving on the ice.

Registration pricing rewards early signups

The base cost for the session is $120, but families can save by registering before the early bird deadline.

The best price is available through September 5. After that, registration moves to the regular rate. A late fee begins on September 12, bringing the cost to $130.

If the plan is to skate this session, registering before the early bird deadline is the simplest way to save.

What skaters can expect from Learn to Skate

Learn to Skate is designed for skaters who are building the basics. That may mean stepping on the ice for the first time, learning how to glide, practicing stops, or getting ready for the next level.

Classes usually focus on core skills such as:

  • Balance and posture on skates

  • Forward movement and gliding

  • Safe falling and getting back up

  • Stopping and turning basics

  • Confidence moving across the ice

The goal is steady progress. Skaters do not need to be perfect on day one. They just need to show up ready to try.

A few reminders before the first class

Before the first session, make sure skaters arrive with enough time to get checked in, put on skates, and get ready without rushing.

Helpful items to bring include:

  • Warm, flexible clothing

  • Gloves or mittens

  • A properly fitted helmet for younger or beginner skaters

  • Socks that fit comfortably inside skates

  • Water for after class

Comfort matters on the ice. Layers are usually better than bulky clothing because skaters need to move freely.

Register early and get ready to skate

The next Learn to Skate session starts soon, with Tuesday classes beginning September 15 at 6:15 p.m. and Saturday classes beginning September 19 at 10:45 a.m.

Register by September 5 to get the early bird price of $110. Regular registration is $120, and the late fee begins September 12, bringing the cost to $130.

Pick the class day that fits best, get registered, and get ready for a great session on the ice.
